Swingball Early Fun Swing Ball

This is a swingball for younger children (ages 3 - 10). I bought it for my grandchildren aged 3 and 6 and they had a wonderful time playing with it in my garden, before taking it home. Except for the ball and the string, it is made of cheerful green and yellow plastic. The rackets are light and easy to hold. It comes in a box for carrying and which, when unpacked, acts as the base to be filled with water or with sand. It all worked extremely well, it looks attractive and is not bulky and can be easily put together and carried anywhere. I am pleased with my purchase!

Given the time of year when my grandchildren come over they just love to play outside and if I'm honest it's something that my wife and I both like to encourage. We are a tad old fashioned in that young children need to run around, play and not sit in front of the box or a computer.And I remembered the fun I used to have back in the 70's with the original Swingball so I arrived at this one which, is geared towards the younger children.The main differences apart from the overall smaller size is that the bats are made to suit smaller hands and the ball does not drop off a spiral which, at the age group this is aimed for can be a bit frustrating.In use my six year old twin grandchildren quickly got the hang of it although the boy (they are boy and girl twins) immediately decided that trying to launch the ball to the Moon rather than finess was the preferred method of playing.Sturdiness is perhaps not huge. This is fine for my purposes because 'The Bubs' are six years old and they don't have the strengh to cause damage. I would say that past 8 or 9 then the more sturdy adult version would be needed as this is lightweight and not suitable for someone who can put some real strength behind a hit.Overall I'm very pleased with this because fundamentally the small people in my life like it and have used it every time they have come over to stay.

Hours of fun for the children

Bought for my 3 and 5 (almost 6) year old. The 3 year old hasn't grasped it, the 5 year old is far better but think it'd be better taller as she keeps hitting it over the top.Good concept and foam ball keeps it safe. Not played with for more than 10 mins at a time.

This is a very good value toy that will hopefully last a few summers. It's easy to assemble and can be dismantled when not in use but as it doesn't take up much room you can easily put store in the corner of the shed when not in use! Fun for the whole family to enjoy!

This is a really great, portable product and provides quite a lot of entertainment for a 2.5 year old. Only downside is that the ball is quite easy to break and some bits have already started to fall off.

Why isnt all swingball like this? - Normal swingball as soon as you hit it round a few times thats the end of the game and you need to reset it again. This one keeps going round and round so the kids never lose interest when playing.The way it sets up and packs away is good, could be a little easier to set up properly and we have had to put some heavy rocks in the base to stop if falling over. Overall a great toy and a solid 4 stars for me.

what a wonderful gift for my grandson's good quality easy to assemble just the right height for a two and 5 year old and when they've finished playing with it ,it packs away and can be stored anywhere . I was that pleased I've ordered another one for my friend's grandson
