A mind of its own
While this warming blanket has a couple of desirable features (low price and purportedly low voltage), it’s a disaster to control. No matter what temperature setting you choose at bedtime, the blanket is programed to heat up to your chosen setting and then steadily cool off. Yes, unlike whoever designed it, this product has a mind of its own.If you just press ON/OFF to start and try to sleep, you’ll be left not with the last-used settings but the default settings: You’ll start at H (the highest of 10 temperature settings) and gradually cool until auto-off in just THREE HOURS.In the weird event you want to be warm in bed for longer than three hours, simply follow this procedure: Press Mode (sometimes two or three times) until the number before “hrs” is blinking, then press Timer repeatedly until you arrive at your desired number of hours (choices are 1-12). The starting temperature can be modified with similar, multiple steps. As an added insult, the interface is not illuminated until your thumb can find either the Mode or the ON/OFF button in the dark.At least there’s no need to fully wake up and try to read the directions. They make no sense, even to someone fluent in Garblish. Example: “Press ‘Auto’ button when the controller turns on. The default After acquiesce temperature at ‘H’; after work for 1hours, it will be back to level 4 work for 7hours Auto off.” Not to worry. There actually is no "Auto" button.I wanted to like this blanket and tried for months to find ways to trick it. Now I’ve learned the Hodiax is not even particularly energy-efficient, drawing more than 100 watts at its highest setting. Today, I ordered a more expensive, better product.

Disappointed
The cord plugs in at the head instead of the feet. The cord for the remote is short. I am disappointed that it takes a long time to heat to the bottom where my feet are.

Confusing controls, uneven heat
UPDATE 9/15/20:I woke up this morning to see the control on one side of the bed was lit up, yet none of the buttons worked to bring up heat/time info. Sadly, I think this blanket is ready for the bin. I do not recommend purchasing.UPDATE 4/26/20:I ended up using this blanket as it was too confusing for my parents. It seemed to work OK in the beginning, but now, it will only heat on levels 8, 9 & H, and unevenly at that. The place where I’d most like the heat, at my feet, gets no heat at all, while the top edge gets very warm. I don’t understand why the blanket is only heating at the top two corners, and am very disappointed with this purchase.I purchased this blanket for my parents and it works fine, is machine washable and cozy, however the dual controls could be more user friendly. The blanket has a control for each side, and as in the photo, to turn on, you click the on/off button. Then click the "Mode" button, and the time function will blink. You click through to how many hours (1-12) you'd like the heat to be on. Clicking the "Mode" button again, now the heat settings flash and you can choose what level warmth you'd like, from 1-10. In about 5 seconds, the display shuts off and if you want to check it at anytime, you have to click the On/Off button for the display to light. What's confusing is whether by pressing the On/Off button again, after the timer is set, the setting gets canceled. If not, how do you cancel a setting? Click twice? The instructions were written in something that appears to be English, but not quite and I couldn't make much sense of them. This is definitely too confusing for my parents and I'll need to purchase another more straight-forward blanket with a simple lit dial would do the trick. I didn't save the box for this blanket, so I'm stuck with it, I guess. Would change the rating if it were returnable. I'm sure this blanket is fine for those familiar with digital controls.A message to the manufacturer: Hodiax - please have an English speaking person review and edit your instructions!

The Strangely Creeping Blanket
This blanket is soft and warm, but it creeps down my bed! I can start out the night with the top of it up around my neck, and halfway through the night, it's at my waist! For the life of me, I can't figure out why it does that. I'm returning it, and I've bought a replacement that does not creep!
