Good piece of kit
Topdon have done it again with this one. Small, sleek and light yet it feels good in the hand. Very capable little tool. Comes with a charger lead and a DLC cable, the unit charges when plugged into a car which is great, especially when you need to go on a test drive and can't leave it plugged into the wall. Quick and easy to use, perfect for code reading, service resets, DPF regens etc. I've not used it on too many models so I can't say how good it is for everything but IF I had to complain about anything it is that it doesn't do PSA vehicles which isn't a problem for me. Lads at work keep using it so it must be decent. Good value for the money. Well done Topdon.

Not impressed.
Advertised as 'All Service Functions for Complete Maintenance' and 'Covering everything from ECM, TCM, ABS, SRS, and TPMS' for VAG vehicles.- On receipt, updated to the latest Skoda diagnostics software version V28.50.However for two 2008 & 2009 Skoda Fabias:- Displays a 'Please Feedback' error when attempting an ABS Bleed.- Displays random 'Out of range' errors.- Displays 'Under Development' error message for some guided functions.- Random ODB2 connection errors. Please see photos. My old X-tool VW diag tool still connects fine and works, though that is only for basic functions.Defective. Returned to Amazon UK for a full refund.

Works just like VCDS but in a handheld form
Bought this scanner as I no longer have a working vcds on my laptop. This is about as close as anything I’ve used to do the same functions. Gives you the ability to scan cars for codes. I’ve tested on both vehicles in my household being a vw and Audi and works flawless. Managed to run scans, attempt to diagnose a faulty injector I believe I have and done an adaptation successfully for the number of flashes on my indicators with the comfort mode. The device and contents are well suited for a beginner/novice like myself without a ridiculous price tag. I would recommend this to others looking for a good diy bit of equipment. It includes. Charging cable along with it but in the time I’ve used it I notice it charges itself via the obd2 port so the charging cable may never be needed. Nice to have either way.I will be keeping an eye out for other topdon products in the future to add to my collection.

A compact user friendly scan tool
Topdon have designed a really compact scan tool. The tool is great in the hand and not too heavy and it comes in a handy case with a charge lead, one connection lead (DLC) and the tool itself. The screen is clear and all the functions on the display are easily readable. The tool can be charged via the mains or by the vehicle it is plugged in to. I linked it to the WIFI and did a software update and it was good to go. I haven’t tried it on too many vehicles as yet but what vehicles I have used it on for error codes and a maintenance reset etc it has passed the test and it’s quick to react. The downside on my thoughts are, it has a short cable, a longer cable would allow the user to operate the tool while out of the vehicle, maybe an idea for the future or Bluetooth. A great value for money, I have recommended the item to my fellow car enthusiasts.
