Excellent for keeping the cat out of the closet!
I myself am quadriparetic so our closet doors were all converted to "easy "" sliders. That worked great, except our cat figured out how to open them! I tried to couple of different babyproofing options but they were all too difficult for me to open when I wanted to get something out of the closet. This design is the first one I found which is possible for me to use but still keeps the cat from opening the sliding door. I'm not sure I would use it for childproofing for a child over the age of two or so, because I don't know if they would be strong enough. But for our purposes, they are great. Easy to install, easy to use, and definitely keeps the cat out of the closets.

Secure and safe! Very happy. Windows and sliders are secure now.
I’m childproofing my Home. Windows and slider are a big deal. These have made me feel very safe and secure. I put them on the window and when they are in the active position they stop a sliding glass door from opening easily. Windows are now safe. These make a little noise when in the non active position. I hear the door scoot over them. I’m happy!I chose not to get suction cup stoppers because i want to be sure that these safety features never fail. I don’t trust a suction cup to never fail.

Good stuff
At first I was worried when I received these locks because they are so thin and seem like they could break easily, but they have to be thin so they can fit between the 2 doors that slide. I just used both at the top of the door and they actually work really well.

I was happy with the first of the 2. It lasted several months. The second doesn't work very well. Seems very hit or miss. For the price, I would probably try it again.
