Q: Is it machine washable?

I have, and it was ok. Of course, you would need very low temperature setting and the program you would use for hand wash-wool settings so as gentle as possible to avoid damaging. I would wash it as any mesh fabric. Since it's mesh though, very breathable with open mesh layers, I find that usually just wiping it clean with a wipe does the job. In the inside, antibacterial wipe if any sweaty kit was in contact and you are good to go. Very good bag.

I have no idea my son loved it so we kept it

I have no idea!! But other than being able to put a lot of sports gear in, I managed to fit several large beach towels in plus more for a trip to the beach
