Q: do the 50 and 100 gal per day filters fit the same unit

Yes. Just one makes 50 gallons a day max. The other 100 a day.

Q: i cant get the reverse osmosis to stop leaking, is there a washer in there?

Where is the leak coming from. That would help guide my answer. Guessing with most common issues, Make sure all tubing is pushed in all the way. There are little light blue clips you can insert behind the release on the connector, that prevent the tubing from getting pulled out accidentally. They came with the unit. Are they installed? Check the 3 screw on canisters. If leaking from the screw on portion, shut off water and unscrew the canister and check to make sure the black o ring inside is seated in the groove properly and is not damaged with any depressions or cracks. Check your supply line to make sure there are no leaks. It is possible there is a crack in the housing (the canisters, and connectors in between the canisters mounted on the metal bracket) if so, you will have to contact express water for replacement.
