Our five year old has autism and sensory processing disorder, haircuts have always been a very difficult task. Typical trimmers with cords and loud motors put him into a very overwhelmed and traumatized state of mind. Up until we purchased this product, hair cuts were a tag team effort with my husband and I. Every cut involved doing our best to be fast and effective with my husbands trimmer while our son screamed, shook, kicked, slapped and fell into a completely over stimulated meltdown. On the first try with this product he was curious. There is sound but it's more like a buzzing kids toy sound than a trimmer motor. It has a mild vibration that made our son want to not only hold it but help when we trimmed his hair. We went from a typical hair cut being a traumatizing experience, to him actually aiding in the job. He does cringe a little near his neck and ears but I was able to do the cut myself while my husband looked after our two year old. I was even able to use the trimmer directly on his skin without the attachments to do his neck and ears and he did not even cry. My husband and I give this product rave reviews and highly recommend it to anyone who cares for a child with sensory disorders or special needs. I would even recommend a shop carrying this for small children who might normally be shy and scared about the regular buzzer. This is amazing. We have yet to test the water proof claim, but the USB charge works great and the trimmer powered through my son's shaggy thick hair without a problem and in one pass. Wonderful product!

My son has autism and since his first haircut for 3 years, he has cried, kicked, screamed each time when I would use a buzzer or hair clippers to cut his hair. Using this quiet buzzer, he did not cry! He actually sat there quietly allowing me to cut his hair. I love this gadget!

My husband said they were easy to use and clean, but it still does make a decent amount of noise.I am glad we purchased them because we can cut his hair here at home, but he still did struggle with it⁹

Since my son was a baby haircuts were a nightmare, he hated the vibrations and noise of other machines... This was a great investment, for the first time in 3years we had a haircut without a meltdown. It was so gentle on him, like a comb passing through, with little noise.

This is great for autistic child. Very easy to use and safe. I used to take my son to get his haircut and it was horrible screeming and crying. Now I cut his hair in the tub before his bath and he cries a little but sits there and waits. He is getting more used to it and is actually letting me cut his hair. The battery does not last too long. I charge it and clean it after every use and cut his hair once a month usually sometimes more often.

I bought this clipper set for over a month but finally used it for the first time on my son. As a mom of a non verbal autistic 4 year old son, it was important for me to find a clipper that would help my son in the process of cutting his hair as it always seems to be traumatising for him whenever it's that time of the month. Usually it's a lot of tears and sometimes screaming as he seems to dread the sound and vibrating effects of the sheer.All of that being said, the sheer is not silent, but the vibration and sound really isn't bad compared to those I've used in the past. I recently cut his hair with it for the first time less than a week ago, and even though he still gave me some resistance (more than likely cause he was very anxious), he seemed more comfortable than he ever has getting a haircut. There was no screaming, he did however make some noise but it seemed more due to him being anxious due to past experience.The sheer itself does a really good job cutting his hair, cleanup was very simple and it came with all accessories as shown. I can't attest to the longevity of the product, however as like I said before I've only used it once, but so far so good, and I'm happy I made the purchase.

Bought this mainly for my 3 year old who is autistic. No hairdressers where I live will do his hair claiming he's too young or they don't feel comfortable dealing with an autistic child for fear of hurting him. So I've had to cut his hair best I can with scissors, with some success. At first try he went nuts, the clippers are still a bit too loud even though they claim to be quiet. So I did his brothers hair (one is 11, the other 13). Worked like a charm, although it can get caught temporarily in thicker hair, especially on top. Never used clippers in my life before and am pretty happy with the results (see pics). After watching his brothers get theirs cut, my 3 year old then let me try again...SUCCESS! He wouldn't let me tidy up round his ears and neck, but this is the best cut he's had in forever, therefore I definitely recommend you give them a try, especially at the generous price. Hair does seem to get stuck in the clippers so cleaning after each use is essential, although don't expect to be able to get every strand out.

These hair clippers are great, I bought them to cut the hair of my 10 month old and they were so quiet that he didn’t even realise I’d started cutting his hair and the fact they are cordless is fab. It comes with two comb attachments that offer 2 different cutting lengths on each, so you have a good range when it comes to the length you want your babies hair to be. The clippers comewith a small bottle of oil, a brush to clean the clippers afterwards and a handy apron to go around your baby when cutting their hair. Would definitely recommend these, very pleased with my purchase.

I bought these to use on my 3 year olds hair as he is going through the phase of hating the hairdressers. I've never used clippers before so was a little nervous that I'd mess up, I needant have been as it was really easy! They are very quiet so even the parts around his ears didn't bother him. I'd really recommend them. They aren't silent but you're never get that.

I purchased this to shave my baby’s head (to help thicken his hair) and it was so simple and easy to use. Box arrived with neat contents inside plus a little soft baby sponge to clean away excess hair. The clipper was already charged and ready to use immediately which was fantastic. It came with a USB charger that’s neatly tucked away in the box plus three separate clipper settings. It’s fairly quiet as I was able to shave my baby’s head whilst he was asleep and he didn’t wake to any frightening loud noise. All in all, a great purchase for decent quality clippers.

Lobe love love it!!My 3yr old is terrified of the nice from traditional clippers and cutting his hair with scissors took 1+ hours and didnt come out that well. These special quiet clippers have the noise level comparable with an electric tooth brush, very little vibration and I was able to cut his whole head in 5mins flat! Great quality.Just a note - perhaps release some with more "mature" design themes for older kids?If your child has sensory issues or is just a jumpy fidget, get these. You wont be disappointed

I bought this product to try and trim some mats out my very long haired cat. He was far too wriggly to use scissors and taking him to the vet is traumatic and expensive! He wouldn't let me near him with our human clippers as they were too noisy so we decided to purchase these as a last resort. They certainly aren't silent but are quiet compared to the regular set we have. He was curious about the noise at first but soon ignored it. We managed to get in there and quickly whip the matted fur off before he knew what was coming. It cut through the fur swiftly and made the job much less traumatic for him and me! I'd recommend these if anyone needs to trim a nervous pet and doesn't want to put them (or you) through the ordeal of going to the vets.

I have a set of cordless Wahl colourpro and these are much quieter. The smaller size makes them easy to handle and much better for doing round the ears. I bought them to see if they would be better for my son with sensory issues and whilst he still hates having his hair clipped it's much better than the trauma of a hairdresser or the big clippers. The sizing is a little off 3mm being a number 1, 6mm a 2, 9mm is longer than a 3 and 12mm longer than a 4 (according to my clippers). I like them, performance was good and the price is 2.5 trips to a hairdresser

After reading the reviews I bought these to use on my autistic 4 yr old son who absolutely hates the hairdressers at first he was a bit nervous but let me cut his hair used 3 times and he is already calm let’s me cut his hair I’m no hairdresser but really easy to use and it’s so much better than going back to the hairdresser definitely recommend

Bought these for my 2 year old son as he won't sit to get his hair cut in barbers and the noise of regular clippers scare him. Seen these advertised as 'super low noise' and thought perfect, maybe he won't be so scared of these!Well they are not quiet in the slightest! They are no more quiet than the normal ones his daddy uses, which defeats the whole purpose of me buying them!The only good points about this product is that it comes with a bib and they're small and lightweight and seem like a good clipper (just not a quiet set). If you're buying these for the same purpose I did then I wouldn't recommend these at all.

This mashine is a life saver. My boy was so scared of usual ones at the hair salon, but this just gave him another chance of trusting in them. I gave him to touch it and feel its OK and won't harm him, as its super quiet he felt more safe to touch it and be sure its not going to huth him. Few videos on YouTube and he had better haircut than done in a salon. Best product ever. Does what it says it does. Very quiet and powerful handy and easy to use :)

How appropriate would it be to write a review in all caps?!We just got this beauty and he already cut our son's hair. He HATES haircuts. He s seven and sensory issues and he screams and is scared when it's time for haircut. We got this machine, to say its quiet - is saying nothing! I showed it to him and he agreed to try and he didnt make a single peep, other than the two times I accidentally poked him with it. I am over the moon! The hair collector would work well, had it not been 6mnths since his last haircut. We used the 3mm setting and it is waaaaay too short. But now that we know this miracle machine allows us to cut his hair we will use the biggest setting which is 12mm. It's still a simple buzcut. BUT we can even now aim to practice and use multiple settings to get a "style". It also was super fast! I am sooo thrilled!!!! Must must must have!

Would be 5 stars if it was a little less quieter. Its already much quieter than adult clippers there's but it isn't completely silent You can kind of hear the wind blowing through the vents. However my little one let me cut his hair bit by bit. Whereas the adult ones I used to use on him scared the life out of him. But I would recommend as it isn't expensive.

I’d never used clippers on my son before I’d only used scissors and thought I’d try these. He was fine they do have a lower noise level and vibration to normal clippers and cut his hair ok. My only problem was i wished there were longer grade combs for this as it did cut his hair a lot shorter then i wanted with the longest attachment.

Is the best seller I have ever met. I lost the cable of the hair clipper, I contacted him telling him what happened, and he offered to send me another one for free, both the cable and the cost of delivery. I recommend it with all confidence. my child loves this hair cutter, we have used it since he was 1 year old. it is ideal for small children, it is quiet and easy to use.

Value for money product, very ease to use. The size is convenient to hold and use on a 1 year old boy. Doing the sides and the back was a breeze, very pleased with the result.It is quieter than a normal clipper, but is not super quiet like advertised. Will save quiet a lot of trips to the barber and money in the long run.
